Something or Other
Something or other is a reaction to Matt Lucas’s impression of bampot Borris, the poster series and soundtrack speak to the UK’s muddled lockdown messaging and lack of leadership during the coronavirus pandemic .Do not go to work, go to work, something or other.
The project was inspired by Matt Lucas’s impression of Johnson’s inept ability to make decisive decisions during the coronavirus pandemic. Colour was used as that main communication tool here, linking the ‘Something or Other’ artwork to the original posters ‘Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives’. But it was important to reduce the harshness of the original posters to give the ‘Something or Other’ artwork softness that would land the confusing messaging.
